A Project

No, I couldn't just toss them all into a box.

Yes, I had to sort them by size and color.

And yes, I did think about counting all of them, but gave up that idea after the first box of 130+ bricks!

In an effort to lessen the amount of "stuff" we have, I've been clearing out a bit of Nathan's closet. Surprisingly, he agreed to get rid of all of his Little People (a lot) and all of his Duplo Legos (more than a lot). He even said it was okay to part with his Thomas the Tank Engine Lego sets, including Thomas, James, Percy, Toby and Harold. Oh my!

I think my little boy is growing up.

Of course, there was some negotiation involved. All of the above mentioned toys, along with many others, will be taken to a consignment sale. Nathan will get some of the money earned and has finagled the promise of new, big boy Legos to replace those he's sending to the sale. His teacher has recommended the smaller Legos to help improve his fine motor skills, which will help with his handwriting. So, there is a method to my madness. It's all in the name of growing up and child development.

Wow!

Jack is just now getting into those Thomas Duplo lego things, and they bring big money on Ebay.

I've got to do a bit of that - but I'll be getting rid of baby toys. We are right in the thick of the duplo stage - just had ours out this morning.

Wow, that is some collection of Duplo's! I love the collection of colors. I know Nathan will love the "big boy" legos, they were always my favorite!

Hi just dropped by, so sorry about those spammers, they are a pain. Boy what a stack of toys, but just wait a few more years, when they come home from college and you see what they bring home in their bags. Oh for the time they were small.

Can I buy the Thomas Duplos off you? LOL All of my boys have a renewed interest in the wooden Thomas stuff and since we have one piece of Duplo Thomas they thought more would be fun for their youngest brother.

Yay for spring cleaning!

Boys do love their legos... I hope you let him keep his "big boy" legos for a long time : )
