A sneak peek and some buried treasure

I've been working on a few swap projects and thought I'd share a tiny peek at one that's finished. I'm not sure if my partner reads my blog, so I can't show the whole thing yet.

Sneak peek

I had to dig to the bottom of my pile of boxes to find one that I thought was the right size for the above mentioned swap package. When I opened the box, I was surprised to find this:

Buried treasure

That's 28 unread books. In addition to the 20 30 49 unread books currently on my bookshelf and 2 on the bedside table.

I'm sure I'll get to them someday! :)

What a cool find!! What types of books are they?

With 49 books + 2, you should have hours of reading.

This summer I told my girls that I will give them $1 for each book they read. They have to read it and then a short summary (verbal) of what it was about. I will give them a dollar more if the book has 300 or more pages. My 10 y.o. DD has read 4 books and my 14 has read about the same. They are really getting into it!!

I have a big pile of books unread as well that I've bought at yard sales. They are so hard to resist especially when the are newly released books that you would have paid 11-15 dollars at the book store, and see them at sales for 25 cents to a dollar! One of these days they'll get read!!

I have a ton of book "I'm going to read someday." too. I also have many craft projects like this too. I'm waiting for "someday" to arrive. I've read a few of these. I read Wicked and A Walk to Remember. Both were good!
I can't wait to see what you made for the swap.
