I found a great blog over the weekend. If you've got kids or work with kids or act like a kid, go check out Unplug Your Kids. I love the Weekly Unplugged Projects. I think we'll be doing these throughout the summer.
This week's theme is sticky, which gives a lot of room for interpretation.
Nathan's interpretation of sticky.....Flubber!
It was very fun and sticky!
We used this recipe. It came out a bit firmer than I expected.
Our friends Jill and Nature Girl sent Nathan some Flubber in a swap a while ago. Here's a recipe similar to the one they used. The consistency of theirs was more like Slime, which Nathan loved. Supposedly, the Flubber lasts for up to two weeks, but ours has lasted for months!
Nest Monday's Unplugged theme is plastic. Should be interesting.

Thanks for your comment on my post! I think that my 2 year old will love the flubber.
Meg
we love it, too!
I am glad you found my blog and jumped right in to the "Unplugged Project!" That flubber looks pretty fun. My kids like anything gooey or slimy too. We'll have to try this. Thanks for the inspiration, and welcome to the Project!
Great pictures! What a fun and sticky project. :)
I love the yellow color!!! We will have to try this recipe. Your tote bags are fabulous!
My kids would love that. We will have to try it.
Blessings,
Dawn
Yes we had exactly the same idea except I called ours goop! I like your green better than our purple mixed with yellow though.
Looks like a lot of fun! Where do you sign up for a swap where you get flubber in the mail? I'd love that! :)
Fun! We make recycled plastic shrinky dinks.
Here is my tutorial:

Forget the Flubber! check out the haircut :) He looks great!
He is concentrating SO HARD on mixing his ingredients. You should put him to work on a cake next!
Oh man, that looks like fun!
And the best part - no tv!!!
These are the activities that will be treasured, and your being part of it will be treasured, too. : )
I'm so glad Nathan has enjoyed the flubber recipe we sent. We tried to send activities we've tried and love. Flubber is a favorite around here! We've had flubber in a ziplock bag that has lasted for more than 6 months.
